Iโm a Korean living in Hamburg, Germany and the creator and editor of All About Korea.
I started this site simply because I wanted to show the real Korean culture and what Korean really do. Not just the stuffs you see in the news or the latest trends online, but the daily life, the people, and the things that make Korea special.
I was born and raised in Korea, and after moving to Germany, I noticed that a lot of people are recently interested in K-pop, Korean food, or dramas โ which is amazing and thank them that they are really fascinated in my country! But sometimes, I realize they donโt really know much about the real side of Korea. Thatโs what made me start to create this blog. I would like to share Korea in a way that feels warm, honest, and very personal.
Living abroad helped me see my culture from a new perspective. I began to appreciate things I never really thought about before โ the food I grew up with, the sound of Korean music I heard since I was a teenager, the little customs that make our daily life unique. Writing about them started as a small hobby, but over time, I hope that it will become something deeper. It would be into a kind of bridge between my two homes โ Korea and Germany.

Everything I share here comes from my own experience โ from growing up in Korea and now living abroad. I try to write honestly, without exaggerating or just following trends. My goal is to make this site a place where people can learn something real about Korea, in a way that feels friendly and easy to read. And anytime where you find here if you need to know about Korea.
